(Gratitude: Indispensable Mentorship)
Co-presenting the NTNU Library workshop on AI-assisted academic communication was a distinct privilege. I extend my profound gratitude to my co-speaker, Anita. Her mentorship during the preparation phase—specifically her meticulous refinement of my phrasing, pronunciation, and pacing—was indispensable.
(Reflection: The Audacity of Output and the Compound Interest of Practice)
This experience crystallized my core pedagogical belief: linguistic proficiency demands rigorous output rather than passive input. Taking the initial leap from zero to one requires the audacity to embrace imperfection and seize the stage. True mastery, progressing from one to a hundred, is subsequently forged through compounding, deliberate practice and the strategic utilization of resources like NTNU’s CAL, Toastmasters, and library study groups.
