“Congratulations to Ying-Chu Chen for receiving the Religion Research Scholarship for the second semester of the 113th academic year from the Department of English at National Taiwan Normal University! The scholarship recognizes students with strong academic performance (GPA above 3.40 or average grade above 80) and excellence in religious-themed literary or research works in Chinese, including essays, poetry, fiction, or analytical pieces rooted in Buddhist, Christian, or Catholic traditions and aligned with the moral values of the Five Precepts, Ten Good Deeds, or Ten Commandments.

Ying-Chu’s award-winning submission was a book review published in an A&HCI-indexed journal: Book review: Feng Chuan PAN. Journey to the West of Filial Piety: Translation of Filial Piety and Origin of European Sinology. Taipei: Linking Publishing Company, 2022. 552 pp. This outstanding work reflects deep engagement with cross-cultural religious scholarship and demonstrates Ying-Chu’s academic strength in the intersection of literature, translation, and religious studies.”
