Abstract
(The University of Texas at Arlington)心血管健康實驗室主持人——黃玨蓉助理教授(Dr.Chueh-Lung ‘Laura’ Hwang)博士所帶來的專題演講。 It was a privilege to attend a guest lecture today at National Taipei University of Nursing and Health Sciences (NTUNHS) featuring Dr. Chueh-Lung ‘Laura’ Hwang, PT, Ph.D., from The University of Texas at Arlington. As a Ph.D. candidate at National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU) focusing on exercise and executive function, I found Dr. Hwang’s research into the interaction between exercise, alcohol consumption, and arterial stiffness incredibly timely. The session offered a sophisticated look at the ‘Vascular-Cognitive Link,’ emphasizing how arterial stiffening (measured via PWV) impacts cerebral microvasculature and cognitive health. Connecting with an international researcher leading the Cardiovascular Laboratory of Health at UTA reinforces the importance of cross-disciplinary collaboration in optimizing human health across the lifespan.
