Abstract
Attending Professor Marius Brazaitis’ lecture on “The Benefits of Various Types of Stress for Physical and Mental Well-being,” delivered at National Taiwan Normal University, was both intellectually stimulating and deeply thought-provoking. As a professor from Lithuanian Sports University with deep expertise in stress physiology, Professor Brazaitis challenged the prevailing narrative that categorizes stress solely as a health threat. His evidence-based argument that stress—when acute, adaptive, and contextually managed—can foster resilience, cognitive enhancement, and systemic vitality left a lasting impression on me as a doctoral student in exercise science.
